Thailand Vacations
'Showcasing Thailand's Best Travel Destinations'

Sawadee khrap (i.e. Hello) and welcome to Our Thailand Vacations.  Whether you are planning to visit Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai or Koh Samui our site aims to provide the most comprehensive Thailand travel information available so you can plan your next Thailand vacation.

If you wish to visit one of Thailand's many stunning islands (such as Maiton Island, Koh Hae or Koh Chang), or need a refresher course regarding the rich history and culture; our insiders guide to Thailand will direct you to the most breathtaking and memorable places. Thailand is an ecologically diverse country that contains 10% of the earth's flora and fauna species.  It also offers the most family friendly holiday's, and cheap vacation packages of almost any country in the world.

My first Thailand vacation back in 2005 was due to the recommendation of a friend; which time I visited Bangkok and Phuket. I have since enjoyed many Thailand vacations and now consider Thailand to be my second home.  My most recent vacation was in May 2016 where I visited family in Bangkok, Nahkon Si Thammarat and relaxed for a few days in Hua Hin.

If you dream about exotic holidays on pristine beaches, idyllic islands surrounded by turquoise coloured sea; a Thailand vacation can fulfill such dreams.

Besides the dazzling Bangkok nightlife and the fantastic bargain shopping on offer at the massive Chatuchak Weekend Market, did you know that you can also:

Or you can:

One thing for sure is that Thailand has some of the best places to visit  (within its six geographical regions), and the most interesting things to do of arguably any country in the world.

This explains why around 24 million people in 2013 chose to visit Thailand. They arrived from countries including the United States, France, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Australia and the United Kingdom to name but a few.  Three million of those visitors came from China alone.

Of my Thailand vacations it is the first which stands out:

I instantly fell in love with the warmth of the Thai people and the tasty traditional Thai cuisine.

I was fascinated by the Thailand culture which was evident in every day life including their world renowned festivals such as the "Songkran Festival".

I loved the relaxed lifestyle that a Thailand vacation was able to provide me.

In fact I loved Thailand so much that; I married a Thai lady and together we have taken several more Thailand vacations.

Since that initial Thailand holiday I have now explored many more spectacular destinations including Kanchanaburi, Hua Hin, Krabi, Phi Phi Island, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Ayutthaya, and Nakhon Si Thammarat to name several.

While visiting these destinations with my Thai wife and extended family I have been fortunate to sample much of Thailand's rich and diverse culture.

Together we have traveled across Thailand by car, boat, bus, train, aircraft, and of course by walking and have experienced the world renowned Thai hospitality and friendliness.

Thailand really is called the "land of smiles" for good reason.

 Boredom Does Not Exist

Indeed, there are so many elements of Thailand culture to experience that it is difficult to ever be bored when vacationing in Thailand. Whether you are visiting an ancient Buddhist temple on foot or the famous James Bond Island by longboat, riding an Asian elephant through the jungle in the northern province of Chiang Mai, dining atop the skyscraper Red Sky Restaurant in Bangkok, or shopping at a traditional market in the southern province of Nakhon Si Thammarat you will never tire of things to do and places to see in the "land of smiles".

For many of us, a Thailand holiday will leave us with a longing to return. Whether this is due to the unique and for us exotic culture (which dates back to the 13th century A.D.), the friendly people, the natural beauty of the landscape (including the beautiful flora and fauna), the plentiful sunshine, delicious food, or the bargain shopping, the reasons vary for each of us.

As you can probably guess from what has been written above the destinations available to visitors who vacation in Thailand are seemingly endless.  Their are just so many interesting places to see and fun activities to do that you will want to return to Thailand over and over again as I have.

Join Us For Our Perfect Thailand Vacation

So what has been our perfect vacation in Thailand? I think we have enjoyed something special on each of our Thailand holidays as I constantly learn more about Thailand.

While it is difficult to choose just one perfect location, I do love the cool climate of northern Thailand especially at Chiang Mai which is renowned for its laid back environment and fresh market food.

As we continue to explore new destinations within the Kingdom of Thailand we will share these travel experiences on the various pages on this website.  During the Christmas break of 2013/2014 we visited the provinces of Ayutthaya, Krabi, and the stunning Phi Phi Islands, and while in  Bangkok I visited the historical  Jim Thompson House Museum.

While Our Thailand Vacations is a work in progress our goal remains unchanged.  That is  to provide the most current information about Thailand and its people, and of course the best places to visit, the most interesting things to do, and the nicest places to stay.

We hope you will navigate around our site and join us on our journey and maybe we will see you within the "land of smiles" soon.
